Programme de la formation

Jour 1 de la formation :


What's different about recruiting in English?
- Identify cultural, language and stylistic differences associated with English recruiting
- Explore how these differences impact on the process and the individuals

Setting your objectives and SMART goals
You will set up your individual objectives using the following criteria: Simple, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Timely ("SMART objectives")

Do it in English
- Explore feelings and experiences working in English in order to identify strengths and obstacles to overcome
- How to clarify by asking questions and how to reformulate by paraphrasing

Write up a candidate description/job description
Participants will use the vocabulary to create descriptions of different job openings, including: job title, department, location, job purpose, manager, job functions, responsibilities, salary, profile of desired candidate.

Familiarize yourself with Anglophone CV's and the layout of the information: screen for the information you need
The participant will analyze several Anglophone CV's in order to learn how to retrieve important information quickly:
- Decode typical expressions and phrases
- Learn to read between the lines to identify the candidates' strengths

Scheduling- Telephone Role Play

Role Play: Don't get tangled by the language
Interview in English when the other person is either at a better level than you, or, at a lower level and unable to understand: how to stay in control

Jour 2 de la formation :



Interviewing

Presenting your company to a candidate in order to « seduce »
- How can you present your company in the most positive and interesting way
- What are the key benefits for working in your company
- What shouldn't you say

Typical questions used to develop the candidate profile
- Get passed the surface: probing and clarifying information
- Many candidates are able to present their CV very well: how can you identify their real strengths and weaknesses
- Questioning techniques for getting details

Interview Roleplay
Through role playing we will use the vocabulary to interview in all of the different possible situations which could arise. Using the various interview formats: one-to-one interview, a panel interview or even a group.

We will film each participant in order to provide a thorough debriefing including body language, intonation, articulation, and language usage.

Evaluate the candidate
- How do you assess a candidate in English or more importantly justify your decision
- Vocabulary for describing candidates' personality and characteristics will be reviewed.

Follow Up
Basic vocabulary and prototypes of E-mail confirmations and apologies will be reviewed.
